DMP announced today the names and release dates of their 2007 (and part) of 2008 manga lineup. The big news for DMP this year is the new Vampire Hunter D manga written by Hideyuki Kikuchi and drawn by new artist, Saiko Takaki. Vampire Hunter D will be released this year sometime in November.
Also being released this year are:
- Megami Deluxe, a colorful book of illustartions from top artists, October
- Enchanter, manga
- Princess, Princess, manga
- Heroes Are Extinct, manga
- Flower of Life, manga
New Titles for 2008:
- Family Complex, manga
- Flamboyant, a collected work of famous artists (the US version will have some extras that the Japanese version doesn’t)
- Speed Racer, manga
Speed Racer will be in a two volume hardcover collection; complete and unabridged. It will be restored and remastered. Retail price is $39.95 for the set.
Vampire Hunter D, volume two is slated for release in the summer of 2008. VHD was originaly created by DMP for American audiences but will also make its way into Japan. The series will be based on the original novels but will also have original content as well.
