Wow, Mena Suvari as Aeris and Rachel Leigh Cook as Tifa? I don’t know any of the other names on there but from the two I do recognize, are they turning this into a teen movie? The one playing Elena sounds like a porn star. I too demand Japanese with subs!!!

OTOH, I AM happy to hear that it is coming out in April and not the end of the year as someone had previously thought.

Well, I have just looked up some of these people, and it appears that they are almost all professional anime or video game voice actors. At least they didn’t try to go for the glitz of using all big name actors like dreamworks does. Thank god. Some voice actors of note:
Rufus: Wally Wingert (awesome name!) AKA the red tallest from Invader Zim
Rude: Crispin Freeman AKA Alucard from Hellsing!
Barett: Beau Billingslea… this guy was in Leprechaun-Back to tha Hood. There’s a career builder for your resume. Yeah.
Cait Sith: Greg Ellis…the Dallas Cowboy?
And speaking of Cait Sith, why does he have a different voice actor than Reeve?
Elena: Bettina Bush AKA Rainbow Brite! That’s pretty funny.
I noticed a lot of these people were in Squaresoft games too. That’s all.

The Japanese version also features two different voice actors for Reeve and Cait Sith.
Greg Ellis (who is a great singer btw) has a rather soft voice while Jamieson Price’s voice is very deep…they could not sound any more different…I guess Square Enix decided to give Cait Sith his “own” voice.
Anyway, I cannot wait to hear more of them in the upcoming VG “Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII” ^_^

Ho boy, even with all this info on the voice cast, I’m still hesitant to get behind the idea of a dubbed Advent Children. Will I see flashes of Alucard when Rude speaks? (but let’s be honest, Rude says like 12 lines the whole frik’n movie so it shouldn’t be that huge of a deal.)

After seeing FFVII:AC with the dub once, I will never, ever see it dubbed again. It sucked so much I may be scarred forever. The voice actors seemed so wrong after hearing it in Japanese. The voices for the characters were so damn flat you’d imaginge they were having a discussion in a coffee house about gardening rather than fighting on motorcyles while evil summons attacked from all sides. Lame.
