Ninja Nonsense DVD Volume 1 CoverNinjas. The elusive deadly assassins of feudal Japan. These stealthy characters with their mystic depictions in popular culture, have inspired many a young person to take up some form of martial arts. In anime, where fantasy rules, ninja are showcased as godlike in their ninpo skills. ... Continue Reading...

To date, there are zero mechs roaming the planet. Also to date; zero magic wands and no mysterious blue amulets imbued with powerful forces. There’s as yet, no fun new technology capable of taking us to stars and we’re still coming up empty in the giant sword department. However, there is a surplus of wishful thinking.
Commuting’s fun!
In anime, there’re plenty of fanciful props which are either center stage or in the peripheries. Mechs are common, as are strange magical implements able to transform ordinary girls into the magical variety (and get them naked to boot). The imaginative technology in anime is awe inspiring, if not very practical. Death Note, Volume One

Posted by: Rachel In: Manga Reviews

I’m not a vengeful person. I don’t ever feel the need to smite my enemies. I’m of the opinion that the noxious individuals in my life will figuratively hang themselves given enough rope, and they have. Which Anime Has the Best Re-watchability?

Posted by: Rachel In: Polls

There’s some movies I never get tired of watching: the original Star Wars trilogy, Spaceballs, Scrooged, Ghostbusters, Big Trouble in Little China, and so on. I don’t know why I don’t get bored with these movies, or what there is specifically about them which makes them so appealing as to be re-watched once or twice a year. Most movies I watch once and then never again. Just don’t feel the need. But the other ones have a special space on my DVD shelf.... Continue Reading...
